Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth: Registration Open

tuck-november-2018

Once again, the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA), along with its many healthcare partners, have partnered with the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth to offer useful strategies for growing your minority or woman owned business AND being more competitive in the healthcare industry.  So, the fall session entitled Building a High-Performing Minority Business will offer the core sessions, as always, in addition to featuring colleagues discussing healthcare supply chain procurement and diversity strategies.  We’ve received great reviews over the past few years, so we’re super excited to offer these sessions again.  The healthcare component is only offered during the November session (November 11 - 16, 2018).

A limited number of partial scholarships are available to HSDA members on a first come, first served basis!  Go to http://mbp.tuck.dartmouth.edu/sessions/building-a-high-performing-minority-business/ and register to attend.  We look forward to spending time with you!

New Contract with Midwestern Health System

hilton publishing

Organizations expend valuable time and resources effectively tracking and centrally managing their spend on association memberships, subscriptions, and conferences. HPC saves clients time and money by centralizing this category of purchasing through our AMS solution.

We recently began work for a Midwestern health system. After our initial analysis, we concluded that the system would spend $1MM more maintaining the status quo for the next three years than engaging HPC to provide necessary oversight and support services.

Additionally, for each year post engagement, the system will realize a $1MM savings on their existing vendor spend. Not only that, hundreds of the system’s employees will realize time savings; managers, supervisors, executive assistants and Accounts Payable staff, etc.  And, their staff will now have access to HPC’s “concierge service” with getting the books, associations, conferences and subscriptions they need at the most affordable price.

healthcare-supplier-diversity-symposium-2018

Owens & Minor has more than a 25 year history of commitment to economic inclusion within the healthcare supply chain. This year, O&M will be hosting the 13th Annual Healthcare Supplier Diversity Symposium in Chicago, Illinois taking a broad look at industry dynamics themed as

ECONOMIC INCLUSION: Be Intentional.

HSDS2018 will be held on September 24-25 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The symposium is an intimate networking environment of healthcare executives and industry influencers inclusive of medical and surgical product manufacturers, distributors, and providers. This year's symposium is being held adjacent to HIDA’s Streamlining  conference which begins immediately after the HSDS closing luncheon on the 25th. The common link between HSDS and HIDA in this endeavor is the desire to build a collaborative bridge around supplier diversity through a shared commitment to healthcare and inclusion.

The key highlights on opening day of HSDS2018 are the C-Suite Roundtable and the Earl G. Reubel Awards Gala in which civic leaders, diverse enterprises, and healthcare corporations are celebrated.

This year’s featured keynotes will be delivered by Social Architect Bill Strickland, President and CEO of Manchester Bidwell Corporation and Navy Veteran Daryl Macklin, Founder and Executive Director of A Soldier’s Child Foundation.
